A quick summary into my recent (Nov-2021) experience of travelling to Kenya. The entire process is well streamlined and hassle free as long as you know what to do and what to carry.
I have summarised what I had prepared for my travel. This should ensure your airport/transit is a breeze. Happy travelling.
Requirements into Kenya
E-VISA (https://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html) - I believe VISA on arrivals are not entertained right now. Please check during your preparation.
RT-PCR test certificate (72 hrs prior to travel - please do check once with your airlines as some as insist on 48 hr window)
QR code for international passengers (https://ears.health.go.ke/international_registration/) - Without this you will not be able to get in to the country. It’s a short form which upon filling will generate a QR code. Save that on our mobile or print it out so people can scan it at arrival.
Yellow fever card (In my last 5 years of travel this is the first time I have experienced extensive checks at multiple points for this card. Please carry it).
Requirements into India
RT-PCR test certificate (72 hrs prior to travel - please do check once with your airlines as some as insist on 48 hr window) - Kenya Port Health Authority will ask for a TT code (Trusted Travel Code - This will come by SMS to your registered mobile number or can be found in your lab report).
Air Suvidha Portal (https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration)
Some states like TN insist on E-PASS. Please check and fill the same form (https://eregister.tnega.org/#/user/pass)
Yellow fever card (If in case you have misplaced it - please reach out to the port health officials at the airport. They will provide you with a new card - and vaccination if required after validating your previous one).
